Call Transfer

The ability to send an active call to another extension is vitial to most users. CloudVoice offers multiple options for transfering a call.

  • Blind Transfer - sending the active call to another extension without speaking to the other extension to announce the call.
  • Attended Transfer - In the process of the transfer the transferring party speaks to the receiving party before completing the transfer.
To perform a blind transfer:

While a call is active a soft button on the display of the phone will display Transfer. Press the button associated with the transfer feature. The caller will be placed on hold and a dial tone and dial pad will display. Dial the number the call is to be transferred to. While the call is ringing a soft button on the display will read B. Transfer. Pressing that button will transfer the call to the other extension.

To perform an attended transfer:

While a call is active a soft button on the display of the phone will display Transfer. Press the button associated with the transfer feature. The caller will be placed on hold and a dial tone and dial pad will display. Dial the number the call is to be transferred to. The phone will ring as and connect the transferring party to the extension the call will be connected to allowing for the call to be interduced.
When the transferring party is ready to Transfer the call they can press the soft button labelled Transfer again and the call will be transferred.
